Cycling Links we Love
The EU-funded Bikeminded campaign is run by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in London. The campaign aims to promote cycling in the Borough and to create a forum for cyclists. So far, the Bikeminded team have lent a fleet of sweet rides to local ‘Bike Heroes’ on the condition that they do their bit to promote cycling in their workplaces, and they’ve put on a series of events, such as the Blue Plaque Tour, the Bike Valet service, the Cake & Coffee Cruise, and the Kensington and Chelsea Ghost Tour for Halloween. Read Tillie’s contribution to their blog about cycling to work here.
Julie blogs from the mean streets of NYC. Her blog is honest, hilarious, and full of useful information for “lady biking”. Julie advocates polite cycling and helmet-wearing, and rides a single speed Linus called Kate Middleton the Bicycle. Julie is badass.
A gorgeous blog by Jemma, a stylish cyclist with a refreshing perspective on commuting in the capital. Tillie was lucky enough to meet her at the practice-run Bikeminded Cake & Coffee Cruise on 24 September. They have the same pannier!
“Auckland’s premier synchronised cycling group”. At the moment a Facebook page only, but we’re promised a website soon! Check out their performance at Art in the Dark, October 2010 on YouTube here. Velociteer Nic wrote the wonderful Day Out in Auckland for this very blog.
